Duty Free Privilege Service Requirement

Please read the following carefully and fulfill all the requirements. Otherwise, the Consulate will not be able to process your request and issue a support letter so that you will be able to take your personal effects duty free

1. Identify the category to which you belong.
2. Read carefully the requirements you need in order to obtain the support letter from the Consulate General of Ethiopia. Please note that if you do not fulfill these your application forms will not be processed.
3. Fill out carefully the application form. Once again, incomplete applications will not be processed
4. List down your personal effects as per the category to which you belong. Be careful, cross check your personal effects with the sample of items you are entitled to bring into the country duty free. Otherwise you may be required to pay the full tax or in some instance not allowed to bring in the item. Click here to get the format to list down your items.
